Your school years are some of the most fun and also overwhelming years of your life. Balancing your school work, your athletic commitments, as well as your home and personal life, can be nothing short of exhausting. Schools and at times family put a lot of pressure on students - those in sports can really struggle balancing school work and sports. There are ways students can balance the weight of it.
As each new sport season starts, how does the student athlete manage to achieve good grades and retain optimal performance on the playing field? The stress of doing well in a sport can easily override the necessity to do well in school. But this does not have to be the case for student athletes. Statistically, research indicates youth who participate in sports, whether school or community sports, perform better academically than children who do not participate in sports.
Please join us as we discuss tips and tricks we’ve used over the years to help balance our sport, social, and school lives.
The material is geared to players only. Parents are asked to not attend.
